THE SYMPOSIUM OF THE CONFERENCE
CalCOFI: the sum of the parts
Only a small percent of CalCOFI-associated Principal Investigators or their projects ever appear on a CalCOFI budget. This is because a diverse array of research programs are attracted to CalCOFI by the historical database, or by the quarterly cruises, and are able to use these to leverage independent funding. All of these contribute to the intellectual vigor and scientific output of CalCOFI. This symposium will celebrate our ancillary projects - from past to present and from graduate student research to multi-year, multi-million dollar programs.
CALL FOR PAPERS
- Verbal Transactions [CLOSED]
A limited number of 15 minute contributed verbal transactions (~16) will be accepted, related to the symposium topic or the biology, physics, chemistry, geology, meteorology, politics or economics of the California Current ecosystem, its adjacent waters, and Eastern Boundary Currents. All verbal transactions are to be presented in English.
Guidelines for preparing your abstracts.
Abstracts of papers for verbal transactions must be received by September 12, 2005.
Please email your abstract document as an attachment to: CalCOFI_abstract@coast.ucsd.edu. These abstracts will be reviewed by a selection committee and authors will be notified of the acceptance of their submission by September 26, 2005. - Poster Transactions
It is not anticipated that poster transactions will be limited in number. In order for poster titles to be included in the second announcement, they should be received by September 16, 2005.
Please email your poster title to: (CalCOFI_poster@coast.ucsd.edu). All posters are to be presented in English.
