- Abstract
- Automated weather observation station at Palmer Station Antarctica using Coastal Environment sensors. Currently four stations. Gamage Point: Started recording in November 2001. Overlapped for two years with manual observations. In December 2003, the PalMOS automated report generator was brought online and the manual observations discontinued. Base: The new weather station in the "backyard" of Palmer Station, beginning in 2015. AWS1: The weather station on Wauwermans Islands (8 miles from Palmer Station) - Installed Oct 31 2015. AWS2: The weather station in the Joubins Island group, on Howard Island (Lat -64.786987 Long -64.360658)
